And Now Back to Regular Programming...
Tuesday, July 05, 2011Have you been wondering about us in the past month? No? We thought so. That's because we have been holed up in our own little world in Myanmar. The land of golden pagodas, ancient ruins and slow, almost nonexistent internet connection.
But we were thinking about you even if you weren't thinking of us. (We know sometimes our relationship can be a one-way street.) We've been thinking about how much we wanted to share our experiences with you even just as they were unfolding. We've been wondering if you had abandoned us because we didn't have anything fresh in the last few weeks. We've been obsessing about the next posts after we've realized how terribly backlogged we are.
Yes, we owe you an apology.
We want to beg for your forgiveness that for the last month, we only had 6 sorry little posts to publish. Our lowest productivity rate yet since starting this blog! And as most grievances go, an apology is never enough.
We swear it won't happen again.
We won't wander off the face of the earth and leave you hanging. Not unless we get swept off our feet by some bronze Aussie surfer dudes on Legian Beach. But if that happens, you'll understand right? That's the only exception. But natural disaster or small revolutionary uprisings will not keep us apart.
So we want to update you about what's been going on in our world. From Myanmar, we had a 4 day stopover in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Just enough time for us to rest our contact lenses, put on our scopes and wash 30 days worth of laundry. We'll spare you the filthy details. Now we've just arrived in Bali, Indonesia to surf, rest and maybe explore an island or two.

In case, you haven't noticed, Indonesia is country number 9 for this leg of the race, er trip. And it's also the last country we will get to visit before we head home. We're a bit sad to say that last bit. Homeward bound. But it's not quite. We still have 2 weeks to reflect on the places we've seen, the people we've done and the things we've met. That didn't sound right. Jet lag, dear readers.
We will continue to post about our Laos adventures next. Then we move on to Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia and finally Indonesia. Hey, we did warn you that we were terribly backlogged.
But before we tune back to regular programming, here's a little peace offering for the last month that we have ignored you:
