Why Travel Patty Laurel of Pattylaurel.blogspot.com?

Patty Laurel is a celebrity blogger who has been a host on many TV shows, including MTV Philippines and Studio 23's Breakfast. Sole Sister Chichi has been following her blog for quite a while and I think she even harbors a secret girl crush on Patty. I enjoy reading about her life as a kindergarten teacher and how she gushes about her relationship with Atom (Araullo, of course! Where have you been hiding?)

Patty was in Nepal recently and it was there that her love for traveling was rekindled. This is why Patty (continues to) travel:

The greatest reward was waking up at dawn to the beautiful Himalayan range. It was the most surreal experience, seeing the snow capped mountains just outside our window. We felt utterly blessed to be there, together, standing on the rooftop of our teahouse with such a clear view of the most magical mountains in the world.

Nepal rekindled our love for traveling. With the Himalayas just outside your window, who wouldn't love traveling?

Nepal was the 27th country on my list of countries to travel to. And after visiting different countries through the years, there comes a time when you just feel like you've reached your travel quota and lost that 'oomph'.

Nepal made me fall in love with travel all over again. I felt like a newlywed, married to this beautiful country and discovering it for the very first time. It made me remember the reason why I travel , why I constantly want to educate myself in the different ways of the world.

So, find a new adventure, whether it's in Nepal, Norway or Timbuktu, and pick your most favorite travel buddy to come along with you!

Why Travel Wednesdays is a weekly series we're running. We're featuring fellow travelers and asking them the question: Why do you travel? Perhaps it will encourage more of us to walk the road less traveled and wrap our arms around the world one trip at a time! Next week, we're excited to feature Pinoy travel blogger Flip of flipnomad.com and he'll share with us why he quit his job to travel the world.

    Nice blog. I wish I have the luxury to travel too. Though I want and like it but there are priorities that I need to attend first and that is is motherhood after all my baby won't be forever a baby. :) I'm looking forward to travel again one day, maybe not just me and my husband but together with our baby too. One day, I can do all the things I mentioned here;
