Why Travel, Nina of Justwandering.org?

I don't have any deep, meaningful reason for traveling. I travel simply because I want to; because I feel the need to.

Nina is one of the Pinoy travel bloggers we look up to, ever since we stumbled upon her entry about Travel Expenses: Indonesia. Those excel sheets sure came in handy when we started doing our own budget travel challenges. We also love the fact that she's a Pinay backpacker who likes to travel for cheap if not for free. Plus she was the one who tipped us off and inspired us to write our blog entry for the Seair Batanes Winter Blogger's Tour.

Read the rest of her answer to Why Travel:

Maybe it's due to a natural curiosity to see the world and experience how other people live. I know that I am happy just walking in an unfamiliar city.

It can be because of a need to get away from a stressful life -- to forget my problems even for just a little while. On the other hand, traveling has made me into a stronger person and developing the confidence I never had.

Or it can also be because when I'm traveling, I can be anonymous. I can pretend to be anything I want to be. But I know it's because of traveling that I now believe I can be whatever I want to be; that I can do whatever I set my mind to.

It might have started as a quest to discover the world, but traveling led me to discover who I am.

More about Justwandering.org:
Nina is a great resource when it comes to travel budget, gear and planning. Aside from the practical stuff, her 'little travel companions' never fail to bring a smile to our face especially the latest one, Candi. She's definitely part of the sole sisterhood!

Why Travel Wednesdays is a weekly series we're running. We're featuring fellow travelers and asking them the question: Why do you travel? Perhaps it will encourage more of us to walk the road less traveled and wrap our arms around the world one trip at a time! Next week, we're excted to feature another Pinoy travel blogger, James of http://journeyingjames.com/.
